St. George's International returned to the top of the summit with an emphatic win over a depleted Devonshire Dragons 75-58 at the Bermuda College.

The Dragons, minus the services of John Lee, stood their ground against the defending champions as the two traded baskets for most of the first half with Ian Lim carrying the scoring load, keeping the Dragons within four at half-time.

Despite the 30-26 halftime score, St. George's athletic guard Junior Warner produced an unstoppable performance.

Scoring two break away lay-ups and rising over the defence with an emphatic dunk, St. George's went on a 15-0 run, increasing their lead to 63-48 with eight minutes remaining.

Lim and Derek Lindo of the Dragons attempted to stop the bleeding with a series of NBA range three pointers, however, the play of Warner and an athletic dunk by Damon Saunders knocked the wind from under the Dragons' sails as St. George's International defeated Devonshire Dragons 75-58.

Hamilton Parish 72

Paget Bear Cats 60

Hamilton Parish Chargers were determined to get their revenge over Paget Bearcats after last Saturday's devastating loss at the hands of the same opponents.

With Paget's leading scorer Chris Crumpler out of the game, the Chargers showed no mercy on the young Bearcats as they took an early 12-2 lead.

Kevin Minors tried to keep the Bearcats close with a pair of lay-ups but the Chargers were too dominant, ending the half well ahead 36-20.

In the second half the Bearcats clawed their way back in the game via a four-point play by Minors, which ignited his team as they began to chip away at the Chargers lead. Following a pair of turnovers by the Chargers, Raeece Tankard capitalised on the mistakes by scoring two back-to-back three pointers to bring the score to 46-41.

Despite the Bearcats aggressive play, veteran guard Mike Smith put the ball back in the 6'5 centers hand and took advantage of the mismatch down in the post.

After scoring a series of put back, center Lavar Powell play was too dominant for the outsized and undermanned Bearcats as Hamilton Parish defeated Paget 72-60.
