Motorcyclist in hospital after collision

A 38-year-old suffered head and facial injuries after his motorcycle collided with another bike and a car.

According to Police the incident took place at 7.40 p.m. on Thursday on South Road in Paget near the junction with Inglewood Lane.

"It appears that one of the motorcycles was travelling east on South Road while the car and the other motorcycle were travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided," said a spokesperson. "The rider of the eastbound motorcycle, a 60-year-old Devonshire man, sustained bruises to his right hand. He received treatment for his injury by [emergency medical technicians] at the scene."

The rider of the second bike, also a Devonshire resident, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and later released.

"The driver of the car, a 33-year-old Hamilton Parish man, was not injured," the spokesperson added. "The car received front end damage while the motorcycles received damage to multiple areas. Traffic was diverted away from the scene of the collision for approximately two hours."
