BSX slips on quiet day

It was a quiet day on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday with only 1,000 shares and 7,500 bonds trading hands.

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 7.85 points or 0.29 percent to close at 2,671.74.

The Bank of Bermuda was the only issue to be traded, and the stock closed down 25 cents or 0.6 percent to close at $44.25.

Bermuda Hospitals Board eight percent bonds due June 9, 2009 gained $6 or six percent to close at $106 on volume of 7,500.
