The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 20.58 points yesterday to close at 4,409.32.

On a light day of trading Butterfield Bank was the only issue to advance, gaining 25 cents to close at $57.25 as 300 shares changed hands.

Argus fell $1 to close at $13 on volume of 1,000 shares and Bermuda Container Line fell 25 cents to close at $13.50 as investors traded in 1,000 shares.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was 43,675.00 and the overall volume of shares was 2,300.
