The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 22.14 points or 0.79 percent yesterday to close at 2,767.51. A total of 41,501 shares worth $1,632,105 were traded.

The Bank of Bermuda fell 50 cents or 1.1 percent to close at $48 on volume of 32,800. The Bank of Butterfield fell 25 cents or 0.7 percent to close at $33.50 on volume of 2,000 shares.

Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 25 cents or 3.6 percent to close at $6.75 on volume of 4,000 shares.

The only other issue to change for the day was Island Press Holdings Ltd. which gained 50 cents or 10 percent to close at $5.50 on volume of 2,401 shares.
