The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday fell 12.23 points to close at 4,404.98.

On a quiet day of trading on the Exchange, Butterfield Bank fell 25 cents to close at $56.50 on volume of 453 shares.

The only activity saw Belco trade in 1,000 shares to close unchanged at $38.75.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX on Thursday was $64,394.50 and the overall volume of shares was 1,453.
