The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 10.68 points yesterday to close at 4,433.18.

On a light day of trading, Masters Limited led the advances as it rose $2.50 to close at $22.50 as investors traded in 100 shares.

Bermuda Container Line gained $1 to close at $13.50 on volume of 900 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants rose 50 cents to close at $1 on volume of 473 shares.

Meanwhile Butterfield Bank traded in 59,300 shares to close unchanged at $57 and Belco traded in 4,200 shares to close unchanged at $38.75.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $3,543,953.00 and the overall volume of shares was 64,978.
