The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 13.67 points yesterday to close at 4,900.50.

On a day of light trading on the Exchange, Butterfield Bank rose 25 cents to close at $59.50 as investors traded in 50,432 shares.

Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 5 cents to close at $8.30 on volume of 148 shares and 5,000 Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants changed hands to close unchanged at $1.75.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $3,011,445.75 and the overall volume of shares was 55,635.
