Saltus girls swept the primary and middle schools six-a-side tournaments.In the primary school tournamment, defending champions Saltus defeated St David’s Primary 1-0 in the final.St David’s had a penalty saved with the last play of the first half.Saltus came out for the second half the more attacking side and were rewarded when Noah Autmezguine scored the game’s only goal.Earlier, Saltus defeated East End on penalty kicks in the semi final after the match ended in a scoreless draw. St David’s also reached the final after a penalty shootout. They defeated Elliot Primary after their match also ended 0-0.Each of the four zones across the island held qualifying tournament from which the top two teams in each zone qualified for the final tournament.The qualifiers were East End, St David’s Primary, Elliot, Somersfield Academy, Saltus, Paget Primary, Heron Bay and West End Primary.In the middle school tournament, Saltus defeated TN Tatem 1-0 to win their first middle school title.Leilanni Nesbeth scored the only goal of the game.As in the primary school tournament both semi finals were decided on penalties after scoreless draws. Saltus defeated defending champions Whitney Institute while TN Tatem defeated Sandys Secondary Middle School .
