Kidnapping charges dropped
Charges have been dropped against three men accused of a kidnap at gunpoint.
Macray Bulford, 37, and his cousin Kenith Bulford, 35, of Beacon Hill Lane were charged along with Ashley Wellman, 30, also of Sandys.
Prosecutors had alleged that they wounded Dwayne Reid-Anderson with intent to cause grievous bodily harm while holding him against his will at the Bulford residence on January 2.
They were also charged with conspiring to use a firearm to commit the kidnap. Mr. Reid-Anderson suffered an injury to his forehead that required stitches.
The trio had not yet been required to enter pleas when the prosecution dropped the charges on February 12. No reasons were given, although it had been suggested at an earlier court hearing that Mr. Reid-Anderson wished to withdraw his complaint.
