a narcotics officer allegedly questioned her eight-year-old son during a drug search.
Miss Donna Whitfield said her son, Devaughn, was standing outside his godmother's shop on Curving Avenue around 4 p.m. when Det. Con. Terrence Gift asked "Where do they stash their drugs? Have you seen a plastic bag with something in it?'' Miss Whitfield, who stressed that her son is honest and assisted Police in a rape case in the past, said her son told Police he knew nothing.
Miss Whitfield said Police were "desperate and stooping low'' by questioning someone of her son's age.
Police spokesman Sgt. Andrea Browne, who was not aware of the incident last night, said Miss Whitfield could lodge an official complaint with Police.
