Mangrove Bay Road to get speed humps

The Ministry of Public Works is to install new speed humps on Mangrove Bay Road in an effort to slow drivers.According to a notice in the Official Gazette, two new speed humps are scheduled to be installed, one near the HSBC Bank, and the other near the Somerset Pharmacy. The notice reads: “These devices are necessary to reduce motorist’s approach speed into the Somerset Village.”Work on the project is expected to take place on Wednesday, but could be delayed until Thursday depending on the weather. The instillations are the most recent of a series of speed control devices, including a second new speed bump in Flatts Village, replacing rumble strips that were installed late last year.l Useful website: www.gov.bm.
