Carifta athletes Raneika Bean, Janine Scott and Gabriel Wilkinson will lead an 18-member Pacers Track Team to the 11th Annual Russell E. Blunt Invitational Meet this weekend.

The meet will take place at the Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and will be the fifth time a Pacers team has travelled to the event.

Other members of the team include Kamel Bashir, Natasha Simmons, Shanea Fubler, Latroya Darrell, Sanche Simmons and Tonea Perinchief in the 9-10 boys and girls age group.

Vernon Lambe, the outstanding athlete in the 9-10 boys group last year, will compete in the 11-12 age group alongwith his brother Vernell Lambe, Akeen Trott, Edmeiko Butterfield, Danielle Watson and Tene Dowling, while Kaijay Davis and Shane Morrissey in the 13-14 boys age group.

The team will be involved in 60 individual events plus two 4X400 metre relays.

Last year's event attracted some 1200 athletes from the United States.

The Bermuda team returns on Monday.
