In the night's closest contest, `B' Division's Flying Chef edged Harrington/Partners 23-22 with Rob Mason singling in Grant Sousa with the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

In fact Mason was a perfect five-for-five with a double and a triple and three RBI. Chris Montgomery likewise had a good night for Chef, going three-for-four with two RBI.

Mark Stearns blasted a home run for the losers.

Meanwhile, in `A' Division action Bud eased past G/C 27-11 as Lloyd Jenkins sent two blasts soaring out of the park.

Jenkins accounted for six of his side's runs and Dave Beagle and Terry Byrom both were five-for-five.

Bud were at one stage down 9-2, but came back on the strength of a 10-run third inning, taking the lead for good.

The night's other match-up pitting Tees against casualties saw the latter emerge 24-11 victors as Mark Kaplen and Richard Hudson both hit homers. Kaplen wound up the as the winning pitcher with Scott Corday being saddled with the loss.

The Eaglettes v Peppers game scheduled for June 16, has been changed to June 20, while the Player Development Boys has been brought forward from June 20 to June 17.
