Festival showcases talented students

The deadline for school entries for the week-long event, which will be held from April 26 to 30, was March 19.
According to organisers, one of the challenges has been trying to shorten each night's performance.
"Because all schools are encouraged to participate and almost all Government schools do, the number of community artists has been limited to no more than two per school,'' a committee spokesperson said.
The confirmed community artists for the Clearwater Family of Schools are The First Church of God Youth Choir and Sia Spence; Sandra Choudhury will perform for the Whitney Family of Schools; Paula McGuire of Kidfest will perform at the Spice Valley Family of Schools.
Private schools who have confirmed so far are Bermuda High School for Girls, who have participated every year, and The Christian Deliverance Academy.
And teacher artitsts this year will be Bim Badamosi, Tamicia Darrell, Jared Robinson, John Duncan, Derek Adams, and Dawnelle Walker.
The following teacher and community visual artists will also display work; Crystal Sutton, Elizabeth Ann Trott, Gail Palacio, Angela Gentleman as well as others to be confirmed.
The opening night MC will be Wendell Dill who has held the honour in the past.
