SWIMMING SW Today's scheduled open water relay swim has been switched from Horseshoe Bay to the more sheltered Shelly Bay because of worsening conditions on the South Shore caused by the approach of Hurricane Hortense.

The race, which is expected to attract between 20 and 30 two-man teams, will be over a half mile course, starting at 4.00 p.m.

Tomorrow more than a hundred swimmers are expected to tackle the annual Trunk Island swim, scheduled to start at 2.00 p.m.

POOL POO The most anticipated of International Pool League matches this week saw league champions Vasco get by 1994/95 champions Hamilton Parish 211-136.

In all eight players scored perfect 50s with the player of the week award going to Ronnie Stervinou who scored 50 on his league debut.

The first league tournament is the Heineken Cup on October 5 at Hamilton Parish. Entries are due by September 26.
