Corona League round-up

North Village Rams 2Lock N Key 1North Village won the first match of 2013 with their win over Lock N Key on Friday night.Randy Simons gave Rams the lead before Lamont Simmons scored what proved to be the game winner.Former Bermuda international Omar Shakir pulled a goal back for Key late in the game but it was too little too late for his side.West End United 0Tuff Dogs 2Tuff Dogs took over top spot over the weekend with their win over West End United. An own goal from Matthew Hayward and a Lamaul Crofton goal enabled Dogs to take all three points in a tightly contested game.Flanagan’s Onions 5Robin Hood 3Robin Hood lost a crucial game to Flanagan’s Onions on Saturday, leaving them in the chasing pack after they had gone into the Christmas break as league leaders. In a match that saw Hood unable to preserve a lead at any point, Lloyd Holder would grab the first of his three goals with a powerful strike. That lead would last less than two minutes as Onions were level through Darren Thompson before Gary McRobert put them ahead five minutes later.Holder would bring his side level, this time from the penalty spot, yet it would be Mc Robert who would put Onions ahead again.Holder completed his hat-trick just before the break to leave the sides level but Thompson’s second and solo effort from Nathan Pescket put the game beyond Hood’s reach in the final minutes.
