given a new lease of life.

Three local businesswomen have applied to the Liquor Licensing Authority to transfer the restaurant licence from Halfway House to Bouquet Garni and Wine Bar. The women are Jeanette McGavern, Julie Grayston Smith and Melissa Ray. Ms McGavern will be the manager of the business.

Bouquet Garni is a local catering firm already in operation. The licensing hearing is set for February 28.

Erroll Burgess had run the business for more than six years, having modernised the restaurant after taking it over. He transformed the premises, which had been on the site for fifty years into a modern diner, serving a number of local dishes and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He decided not to renew the lease because it was "time for me to take some time out''.
