One of the social highlights leading up to Cup Match was the most fashionable wedding of Jahmal Malcolm Keith Trott and Daniel Marie Savery, daughter of Mrs. Eloise Savery and the late well-known sports administrator Aldwin Savery.

The popular couple exchanged vows at Mount Zion AME Church, Southampton West, with its pastor the Rev. Jahkimmo Smith officiating. The ceremony was underscored by the music of violinist Christopher Darrell and vocal renditions of Latosia Codrington, Steven Easton and Ryan Bean.

Daniel was attended by Glenmal Crockwell as maid of honour. The bridesmaids were Kelly Savery, Yahnee Ratteray, Margaret-Ann Sweeting, Zalikah Ratteray, Dawn Smith and Xah-Miyah Williams as junior bridesmaid.

Best man for the groom was Troy Landy, with groomsmen Jevon Saunders, Mark Savery, Jermal Woolridge, Charles Burgess, Wilbur Smith, with Xan-Jae Minks-Savery, junior groomsman.

Flower girl was Brooklyn Smith and little Jahvontae Trott the ring bearer.
