On May 29, Police were called to Blue Horizons Apartments about a noise complaint. They found Denbrook shouting and swearing and arrested her.

Acting Magistrate the Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons had asked for a psychiatric report before passing sentence. "There doesn't seem to be any great concern about your mental state,'' she said after reading the report, adding there was a concern about where she would live.

Denbrook said she would be going directly to Agape House from prison. "I have the AIDS virus and I'm supposed to stay there,'' she said.

The woman, who was in custody since May 31, was sentenced to the time she had already served in jail.

On the night of April 30 or the early morning of May 1, Ray and another person forced the locks on the rear door of the lounge in the Warwick Lanes building, then attacked an interior door.

The money was taken from a shelf beneath the cash register.

Acting Magistrate the Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons placed Ray on probation for 18 months and ordered him to take counselling as directed.

"You're a young person,'' she said. "You've got your whole life ahead of you. It's a shame to see it all go down the drain because of substance abuse.'' Tyrone G. Butterfield, 18, of Cedar Park, Prospect, admitted stealing two cycle helmets worth $110 and possessing a prohibited weapon.

Shortly before 10 p.m. on April 10, Police saw two youths cut helmets from cycles in the City Hall carpark, then ride away.

When Butterfield was apprehended, a switchblade was found in his knapsack. He said he took the knife from a younger person he saw playing with it.

VISITOR FINED $500 FOR CANNABIS CTS Visitor fined $500 for cannabis A top branch manager from a New York investment company pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to possessing 4.74 grams of cannabis.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said Customs officers found a plastic bag containing plant material in Joe Larosa's pants pocket shortly after landing at the Airport on Friday.

Larosa told the officers the material was cannabis when he was confronted with the bag.

Lawyer Mr. Tim Marshall, defending, told the court the 27-year-old Brooklyn resident was visiting Bermuda for the first time after winning a company incentive programme -- usually given to employees for good performance.

Larosa was accompanied in court by his supervisor and the president of the company.

Mr. Francis fined Larosa $500.

VISITOR UNAWARE OF MARIJUANA CTS Visitor unaware of marijuana Possessing 0.99 grams of cannabis and drug equipment cost a 23-year-old Georgia woman $200 in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Chandra E. Rogers pleaded guilty to the two charges.

The drugs were found during an Airport search of a box in Rogers' baggage.

Rogers told Customs officers she did not know the cannabis was there.

Mr. Francis fined Rogers $100 for each conviction.
