A 57-year-old Pembroke man was yesterday accused of assaulting his wife after she caught him in “a compromising position with another woman”.Gaven Black denied unlawfully assaulting Kuni Frith-Black, a former Miss Bermuda, on September 26 at her Paget residence.Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Cindy Clarke told Magistrates’ Court Mr Black pulled his wife’s arm behind her back, made her crawl and injured her shoulder during the attack.The two now live separately, the court heard.Ms Clarke added that the defendant has a previous conviction for violence against women.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner granted Mr Black bail of $5,000 and ordered him to stay away from his wife until his November 25 trial.
