Yusef Omar Richardson, 23, pleaded not guilty to attempting to kill Michael Parris on June 22 last year.

He also denied wounding him with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Richardson had his case adjourned until June 6, the next arraignment day.

He is on bail, represented by Mr. Tim Marshall.

Also in the monthly arraignments session, Antwan Jerome Lewis admitted sexual assault and having sex with a girl under 14.

Both offences happened between September and December last year.

His lawyer, Mr. Marc Telemaque, asked for a social inquiry report before sentencing, on the grounds of "alcoholism and various other problems''.

The Chief Justice denied bail, saying Lewis would be jailed and might as well start serving his term now.

He was remanded in custody until June 6.

Coolridge Winslow Eve denied three charges of burglary and one of escaping custody.

A man was charged with the buggery, serious sexual assault and sexual assault of the same woman. He was also charged with assaulting her twice, causing bodily harm.

He is also accused of stealing a living room suite and a radio cassette recorder, and assaulting a Policeman.

He denied all charges, and his case was adjourned until June 6. He is on bail, represented by Mr. Warner.

Argenia Gloria Beach, a US citizen, admitted importing cocaine.

Mr. Warner, her lawyer, said she had been in custody since the offence on December 21.

He asked for social inquiry, psychiatric and psychological reports, saying she had a trouble background.

"There is a history of suicide,'' he added. "It has been attempted since the defendant has been in custody, and she has spent some time in St. Brendan's hospital.'' The case was adjourned until June 6.

Clifton Salmon admitted importing cannabis on January 20 and was remanded in custody until Friday, when he will be sentenced. He is represented by Mr.

Richard Hector.

Llewelyn Anthony Clarence Nesbitt denied importing heroin and cocaine, and had his bail extended until June 6, when a trial date is expected to be set. He is represented by Mr. Warner.

Calvin Okang Shabazz, awaiting trial on stealing and fraudulent accounting charges, had his case adjourned until June 6.

He is on bail, now represented by Mr. Delroy Duncan.

Former MP Vincent Bridgewater, who has been charged with stealing and false pretences, had his case adjourned until September 6.

Joann Elizabeth Fubler, who has denied 27 counts of stealing money and committing fraudulent acts, also had her case adjourned until September 6.

Gerry Eugene Fubler, who has denied using a firearm to steal $4,471 from Warren Foggo, was given a trial date of July 18.

Represented by Mr. Warner, he was remanded in custody.

A warrant was ordered for the arrest of David Anthony Brangman after he failed to show up in court.

He has denied importing and possessing a chemical spray, offensive behaviour, violently resisting arrest and assaulting Police.

Veronica Leslene Dill, who has pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder Graham Stancliffe, had her case adjourned until June 29.

She has also pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to burn and arson.

Ariel David Rivera-Ruiz, a Mexican who has admitted importing cannabis, had his case adjourned until June 6 and was remanded in custody. He is represented by Mr. Stirling.
