Not sure I want to direct long movies!

Making films is hard work, but eight-year-old Ethan Phillips who attended the BIFFsummer camp said it was worth it.

His favourite activity during the camp was making fake blood and vomit.

Ethan, who attends Warwick Academy, studied animation , acting and special effects during the summer camp.

Two of the films that Ethan worked on will be shown during the BIFF Kids Film Festival.

He is excited to see his films on the big screen, especially 'Boat Load', which is an animated film about a sea monster who attacks a ship.

One thing Ethan learned during the camp is that it takes a long time to make an animated film. Both of his films are five minutes long.

"If this was a short one and it took real long I would not want to be a director for long movies!" He said.

Ethan enjoys drawing, which is what attracted him to the camp, but said he also likes to play tennis and roller hockey.

His films will premiere October 16 along with the foreign children's film "Little Longnose " which has won many awards world-wide.
