Berkeley graduate wins BIBA award
Berkeley Institute graduate Natalie Stapff was yesterday presented with the Bermuda International Business Association's (BIBA) 2009 'Excellence in Business Award'.
The Excellence in Business Award is presented by the Association to senior school students who have displayed high scholastic achievement, particularly in the area of business studies, at the end of each academic year.
Ms Stapff received her award yesterday during Berkeley Institute's Graduation Ceremony held at the Heritage Worship Centre.
Chairman of BIBA's Local Awareness Committee, Kerry Judd presented the award to Miss Stapff, who so received a cheque from BIBA for $1,500 to put towards her post-secondary education.
"It's my understanding that Natalie chose to enter the International Business Class so that she could establish a firm grounding in business prior to pursuing her dream of studying business at the tertiary level in the US following her graduation from high school," Ms Judd said.
"It gives me great pleasure to have presented Natalie with her award today and for BIBA to be involved in supporting one of our young people in pursuing their dreams. I have no doubt that the same drive and determination that garnered Natalie the recommendation for this award will see her through the next phase of her personal development."
