Douglas impresses

The Olympic sprinter came home in 45.79 seconds, more than a second in front of runner-up Raymundo Escalante of Mexico.
Escalante finished in 46.99, with Gable Barmer of the US third in 47.65.
Douglas' success at the Harry Jerome Meet gave him the perfect start to a week, which will see him compete in a series of international athletics meets in Canada as he warms up for Barcelona.
At the same meet, Michael Bartoszak of Poland, who was runner-up to Joe Falcon in this year's Bank of Butterfield Mile, won the 1,500 metres in a time of 3:39.33, beating Charles Marsala of the US (3:39.43) and Dan Bertoia of Canada (3:40.35).
Bartoszak was also third in this year's ADT Bermuda 10-K.
Bank of Butterfield Mile champion Falcon was also in winning form this weekend at the Bruce Jenner Track Meet at San Jose City College, California.
The meet, which featured the likes of Leroy Burrell and Danny Everett, saw Falcon victorious in the 1,500 metres.
Falcon won the race in 3:37.96, defeating fellow American Terrence Herrington (3:38.18) and Ed Martins De Olivera of Brazil (3:38.18). Jim Spivey of the US was fourth.
