BSX stages recovery
Stocks regained some ground yesterday with The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index rising 67.09 points.
During the day, investors traded $171,965 worth of shares as 8,800 shares changed hands.
The gain came after the index took a nosedive on Wednesday after several BSX-listed companies saw their stocks value fall and wipe 109 points off the index as $1 million worth of stocks were sold.
Bank of Butterfield shares rose $2.50 to close at $34 on volume of 3,900 shares.
In the insurance sector, BF&M followed the upward trend and recouped some of its stock market loss from the previous day after its share value gained ten cents. The insurer's stock price closed at $9.10 on volume of 2,000 shares.
Meanwhile, KeyTech's shares recovered 50 cents of the 75 cents lost on Wednesday. The conglomerate's shares finished the day at $9.50.
