A murder trial was halted yesterday at Supreme Court because one of the jurors fell ill.Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves said the case of Derek Spalding will reconvene this morning.Mr Spalding, 36, is accused of shooting Shaki Crockwell, 25, on the Railway Trail in Devonshire on August 24 2007.He denies charges of premeditated murder and using a firearm to commit that crime.n A report in Tuesday’s edition of The Royal Gazette about a voyage Mr Spalding took on the Spirit of Bermuda sloop in May 2007 gave an incorrect date. The report should have stated that the sloop left Bermuda on May 11 2007 and its next port was Charleston, South Carolina. It arrived back in Bermuda on May 25, 2007.
