Alex Scott to give evidence at parliamentary hearing on elections

Former Premier Alex Scott will give evidence on election matters to a parliamentary committee next week.Mr Scott will speak at the open session at noon on Monday in the Library of the House of Assembly.He will be joined by former United Bermuda Party leader Kim Swan and parliamentary registrar Randy Scott.The hearing is the first of a series of public sessions to be held next week by the Parliamentary Election Committee.It will examine issues including whether or not election candidates are required to disclose interests in government contracts, voter intimidation and absentee ballots.Committee chairman Walton Brown said members of the community with expertise would be invited to appear before the committee or make written submissions.
