week after she admitted assaulting a Police officer.

Nicole Renee Simmons of Seon Drive, pleaded guilty to the offence and to using offensive words and obstructing the officer. The offence occurred last Wednesday.

Sgt. Kenrick James, prosecuting, told the court that Police went to Dub City variety store around 3.40 p.m. on another matter. After it was completed they approached Delton Burchall informing him that hey had a warrant for his arrest on a traffic matter.

As they were attempting to arrest Burchall, Simmons jumped in. She swore at the officers as they were trying to make the arrest. Police arrested her after she slapped one officer.

Simmons told the court that she felt the way the Police approached Burchall was unprofessional and hostile and she jumped in to protect him.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined Simmons $100 on each charge.
