A man was in a critical condition in hospital last night after being found lying in a road with serious injuries.

Police attended a report of the incident at Tween Walls, Sandys, around 12.40 a.m yesterday, and found what a spokesman described as "suspicious circumstances".

He explained: "The injured individual, a 36-year-old Sandys parish man, was taken to KEMH via ambulance where he is currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit with serious head injuries. "Details about how the victim received his injuries are unclear at the moment. However, it appears that (he) may have been involved in a collision involving a motorcycle."

He appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact PC Jodi Eve at Somerset Police Station on 234-1010 or on the main Police number, 295-0011.

Laptop, underwater cameras stolen

Someone made off with a black Compaq laptop computer and three yellow digital underwater cameras from a dive shop in Sandys Parish.

Police attended the Blue Water Divers and Water Sports Limited premises yesterday morning and spoke to the complainant who said that sometime between 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday and 7.45 a.m. yesterday, someone gained entry to the premises.

Cash stolen from Sandys home

An Overplus Lane, Sandys Parish residence was broken into with the culprit taking cash.

When Police responded to the reported burglary on Wednesday, the victim told them that someone gained entry to her home while she was away.
