Four people being sought on immigration charges
Police and Government are hunting three Caribbean nationals for suspected immigration offences.
They are:
¦ Joel Emanuel Tyrell, a 48-year-old Jamaican last living in Derwent Lane North, Devonshire. Mr. Tyrell initially worked in construction and had recently been working at a deli in Angle Street.
¦ Indra Ramcharan, a 24-year-old Trinidadian who arrived in June, with her husband Errol Lester Ramcharan, 29, who immigration officers are also seeking. Mrs. Ramcharan was last living in Hesitation Lane, Devonshire.
¦ A Jamaican, known as 'Tony' who is known to be living in Bermuda and is wanted for questioning on a number of immigration offences.
The public is asked to call Crime Stoppers Bermuda at 1 800 623 8477 or the immigration department on 297 7950.
Wine, computer cable stolen
Six bottles of red wine and a black Xerox bag containing a computer cable were stolen from a Crow Lane, Pembroke home.
Police were told by the victims that sometime between 7.30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, someone gained entry their home while they were away.
Inquires are underway.
Bus terminal to undergo cleaning
The central bus terminal in Hamilton will undergo intense cleaning after midnight on Thursday and Friday this week.
The Department of Public Transportation is asking for the public's cooperation while cleaning is being carried out.
Laptop stolen
A thief stole a Toshiba laptop computer from a Wellington Slip, St. George's residence on Monday.
Officers spoke with the complainant who told them that sometime between 7.10 a.m. and 8 p.m., someone gained entry to an apartment on the premises, while unoccupied.
Police are inquiring into this incident.
Construction tools stolen
A Midsea Lane, Pembroke construction site was burgled with a thief taking electrical tools, including a Makita chipping hammer, a Makita circular saw, a DeWalt cordless drill and two Makita hammer drills.
Apparently the thief gained access to a tool shed on the property where the items were located. The complainant told officers it happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday and 4.30 p.m. on Sunday.
Police are investigating.
Police issue warning about construction tools
The Bermuda Police Service has issued a reminder to all construction site foremen that they should secure all tools inside a locked container, structure or area at the end of the work day.
And all tools should be marked and an inventory of the tools and their serial numbers should be kept in a separate location.
