Liners make final voyages
cruise ships for their final voyages of the season this week.
The cruise ship Norwegian Majesty came in from Boston yesterday with 1,364 passengers and berthed at Ordnance Island in St. George's.
It was set to sail out on Friday marking its last voyage of the season.
Horizon arrived yesterday afternoon at King's Wharf in Dockyard from Charleston in South Carolina for its final voyage of the year.
It will remain in Dockyard until tomorrow afternoon, then move to Hamilton before sailing back to Charleston on Friday afternoon.
And the cruise ship Nordic Empress arrived in St. George's yesterday on its final voyage of the year.
It berthed at Penno's Wharf with 1,518 passengers from New York and was set to move to Hamilton this morning before heading to St. Thomas on Friday.
Elsewhere at the container docks, the Oleander arrived on Sunday in Hamilton from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey with 40 refrigerated containers, 145 dry containers, a road trailer, and four cars which she offloaded before returning to Port Elizabeth yesterday afternoon.
The Somers Isles arrived in Hamilton on Sunday, bringing 119 containers, of which eight were refrigerated.
It also had some loose cargo, including 71 bundles of lumber and ten bundles of steel and pipe which it offloaded before setting sail for Florida on Monday.
And the Bermuda Islander arrived yesterday from Salem in New Jersey with 139 containers of which 17 were refrigerated and two were livestock containers holding a horse, four cows and a bull.
It will return to Salem on Friday morning.
