A glamour night to remember
The M2 students of T. N. Tatem Middle School had a glamorous night at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
This yearly event, called The Night of Elegance, is specifically for M2 students to socialise and demonstrate their etiquette skills. The night started off with a little mingling, but that soon died out once everyone had appeared and seen what everybody else was wearing. After that, we took pictures of everyone in their beautiful gowns and handsome tuxedos/suits. Next we quickly got to our seats and school principal Mrs. Francine McMahon began her opening remarks. Afterwards Mr. Duncan sang a stupendous song, "I believe I can fly".
One of the best parts of the night was when we actually got to eat our four-course meal. We started off with a creamy pumpkin soup; it was scrumptious. We moved on to a salad shaped like a vase. Then we had the main course, which was chicken breast with vegetables and peas and rice. Afterwards it was dessert, an ice cream pyramid with a chocolate cupcake and fruits. Next it was the grand raffle; there were six happy winners.
Afterwards we got up and danced. Everyone danced, including Mr. Roberts, Mrs McMahon, and Mrs Darrell; even Mr. Duncan danced. Then the night ended and we took a group picture.
We will all remember this night.
