Trevor Simons, 30, is charged with four counts of supplying crack cocaine and one charge of supplying cannabis.

The offences are alleged to have taken place, mostly in the Warwick area, between April 15 and May 2.

Simons, of Eastdale Lane, Warwick, had originally asked for trial in Magistrates' Court and had denied the charges.

But Simons' lawyer, Richard Hector, yesterday requested a short form preliminary inquiry and the accused will now be tried in Supreme Court.

Simons was remanded in custody until October 1.
