BEPRO launches Lunch n Lean lectures

In honour of black history month Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) will be highlighting Bermudians who have gone against the grain to achieve success, in their first Lunch N Learn lecture of the year.

The Lunch N Learn entitled “Honouring the Past; Inspiring the Future” will be held on Thursday and will feature guest speakers: Cathy Duffy, Senior Vice President (SVP) and Underwriting Manager at XL; Kumi Bradshaw, Co-Founder of Firm Advisory Ltd; and former Premier Dame Jennifer Smith.

“This Lunch N Learn is designed to encourage people to come out and learn more about the history of these key individuals who have left their mark on Bermuda, gain insight on what success looks like to them, and obtain valuable advice on how we as a modern society can also make a worthy contribution to our community,” said Salintae Tuzo-Smith, BEPRO Community Officer. “Attendees can expect to leave motivated by the hard work accomplished that has opened doors for us all.”

She added that sometimes it can be hard to motivate yourself when you think your chosen path is less travelled.

“There is a constant tug of war between your desire to achieve greatness and your desire to remain comfortable,” she said. “BEPRO has put together this event to acknowledge individuals who went against the grain and to help others see the achievability of accomplishing their most desired path and aspirations.”

A light lunch will be provided and the event is free for BEPRO members; $10 for non-members. BEPRO is proud to invite emerging professionals from all industries to this event.

The Lunch N Learn is on Thursday (February 27) at O’Hara House (XL Limited) on Bermudiana Road from 12 to 1pm. To reserve a spot contact Vwheatley@bcc.bm, or call 295-8932.
