Eighth annual fundraiser supports charity’s programmes
A charity is inviting members of the public to come together for an evening of creativity, entertainment and community spirit to support individuals with autism and other developmental issues.
Tomorrow’s Voices Autism Early Intervention Centre is set to host its eighth annual Great Sip and Paint for Autism on November 8 from 6pm to 9pm at the lower level of Pier 6 in Hamilton.
All proceeds will benefit the therapeutic programmes offered by Tomorrow’s Voices, supporting individuals with autism and other developmental conditions, helping them and their families access valuable services and support.
There will be painting, music from a live DJ, dinner, an all-inclusive wine bar, dessert, henna tattoos, a photo station and prizes.
It serves also as an opportunity to broaden awareness of autism spectrum disorder and other challenges affecting families across Bermuda.
“Every event we host is an opportunity to bring our community together in support of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities,” said Thea Furbert, Tomorrow’s Voices cofounder and board chairwoman.
“The Great Sip and Paint for Autism combines a wonderful evening of creativity and entertainment with a purpose that makes a lasting difference. We are grateful to everyone who continues to champion our work and help us expand our reach across Bermuda.”
The organisation is also celebrating the success of its fourth Annual Move Your Feet for Autism 5K Walk this month.
More than 150 walkers came out in support of autism early intervention services in Bermuda. The walk has raised $8,400 towards its $10,000 fundraising goal.
