And they are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area between 8pm on Valentine's Day, February 14, and the early hours of the following morning.

Mr. Wilson's badly decomposed body was pulled from the sea off North Shore, just east of Stowe Hill, last Thursday.

The 41-year-old had been missing from his Northcliff Road home, in Devonshire, for more than two weeks.

At a Press conference at Police Headquarters yesterday, Acting Assistant Commissioner Wayne Perinchief and Acting Superintendent Vic Richmond praised the public for the help they have received so far.

But they stressed that they needed help from people who were in the area of Admiralty House Park on Valentine's night.

Mr. Richmond said: "We would also like to speak to anyone who saw Reginald Wilson at Spanish Point on that particular night.'' He also called on one man, who has contacted Police three times since the murder, to get in touch again.

The man has called the Police confidential codafone twice and spoken to Mr.

Richmond directly on another occasion. He said: "I would like that person again to give me a call.'' Police again refused to detail the circumstances they believe led to Mr.

Wilson's death, the cause of death or any motive.

Mr. Richmond said: "It is a complex investigation and we still need a lot more information. At this time we cannot say whether one or more persons was involved.'' Both officers praised the public for their support in this case and in others after past appeals.

Mr. Perinchief said: "Over the last few months we have appealed to the public for assistance with several major incidents.'' He said Police were still appealing for help from the public in the cases of the death of Mr. Irving Dunlop at St. Paul's AME Church Hall on December 21 and a violent robbery at Warwick Minimart on February 3.

He said contrary to rumours, Police lines were confidential. The lines are 295-1140 and 292-8999.

Mr. Richmond said he would prefer calls on the Wilson murder directly to him on 295-0011 or 299-4315.
