This policy has been adopted by Whitney institute Middle School and this academic year 2010-2011 we are looking to seeing that it is consistently enforced. The No Pass No Play Policy applies to all students at Whitney Institute Middle School. All students are expected to maintain a minimum passing grade (60%) in every subject (Core and Encore) in order to be eligible to play and represent a school sporting team.

I think this is a fair policy because in the past there were some students who failed classes but could still represent our school in sporting events.

Education is important, even for star athletes. If we support this policy we can ensure that our athletes are stars, not just on the field but also in the classroom.
