The third annual Girl’s Talk event at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel was a success.The theme, Intelligently Beautiful, touched the hearts of the 75 girls in attendance.They walked away that day feeling inspired and motivated to fulfill their destinies.The day was hosted by Miss Deazsha Chambers, a 17 year-old CedarBridge Academy student with a resume to be envied by most adults twice her age.The opening speaker Carla Zuill encouraged the girls always to be true to themselves and to love themselves.The next segment of the day consisted of seven guest speakers with various careers in the areas of academics and the arts.This segment was conducted in a fun 12-minute, speed-dating style.After the informational and inspirational sessions the girls enjoyed a fun-filled soccer lesson conducted by national football member Waynesha Bean. What a wonderful morning they had!Fulfilling the appetite of the girls after a long, industrious morning was a delicious Italian buffet.This buffet contained all the things a teenage girl could dream of:Two types of lasagne and two types of pizza washed down with fruit punch and followed with sweet desserts!To burn those calories the girls held a photo-shoot and then went on to play fun bonding games conducted by Young Life representatives.The day left the attendees feeling inspired, and with new friends, and memories!There will be many more Girl’s Talk events in the near future.For more information you can e-mail the organisation at girlstalk.bermuda@gmail.com.
