HRH the Duchess of Gloucester will visit Bermuda next month, from November 11 to 14.

Much of the trip will concern the Bermuda Regiment, for which the Duchess is Colonel-in-Chief.

The Duchess will present the regimental colours and visit the Regiment Charitable Trust.

She will also visit Masterworks Museum to preside over its official opening of the Floral Lane show of art.

Masterworks founder and director Tom Butterfield said: "It was serendipitous that we were planning the opening during her visit, and we are thrilled to welcome Her Royal Highness."

In a private members' only reception on the final day of the Royal trip, the Duchess will oversee the opening of the show which will run into the Spring of 2011.

The museum's marketing coordinator Julie Butler said: "Floral Lane is an exhibit which will explore Bermuda's transformation from a barren terrain covered in low scrub, screw palms and cedars that greeted the early explorers, to the lush semi-tropical paradise it is today."

The Duchess is also scheduled to attend events involving the Bermuda Football Association and the St John Ambulance Brigade.
