Butterfield shares slip 1.47% in New York

One Communications Ltd was the lone stock to trade on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The telecommunications provider closed unchanged on $4.10 as 500 of its shares changed hands.
Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares fell 51 cents, or 1.47 per cent, to close on $34.10 on the New York Stock Exchange on below-average volume of 130,476 shares. Butterfield last traded at $34 on the BSX.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged on 2,183.86.For the first trading week of 2021, the index gained nearly 7 per cent, driven by stock gains in the financial-services sector, with Butterfield up 9.7 per cent and Somers Ltd up 3.3 per cent over the five days.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 3.42 points, or 0.21 per cent, to close on 1,644.9.
