Andrew Stevenson to present unique video of humpback whales
Unprecedented new whale footage shot in local waters is to be presented by researcher Andrew Stevenson.Two lectures are on offer tomorrow night at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.“This is unique footage — even the scientists haven’t seen some of this stuff,” said Mr Stevenson of the filmed underwater behaviour of humpback whales.Now in his seventh season of observing the giants, he reported identifying a further ten whales in recent days, bringing his count so far this season to 20 identified.Lectures are at 6.30pm and 8.30pm at the BUEI, with tickets for $25 at the door or through www.bdatix.com.Mr Stevenson will deliver an update on the trends seen in whale behaviour, as well as fielding questions from the public.
