THEFT AT ST. GEORGE'S BUS DEPOT CRM Theft at St. George's bus depot Police are appealing for help in solving a theft at the St. George's bus depot.

A Police spokesman said the East End bus depot was broken into at the weekend.

Fare boxes were removed from two Public Transportation Board buses.

Anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the St. George's bus depot should contact St. George's CID on 297-1122.

WARWICK WOMAN BITTEN BY DOG ALS Warwick woman bitten by dog Taking a dog for walk landed a 33-year-old Warwick woman in hospital.

A Police spokesman said the woman was taken to King Edward VII hospital after being bitten by a neighbour's dog on Monday.

The woman was walking her dog on Cedar Hill in Warwick around 7.40 a.m. when an Alsation ran from a neighbour's house and attacked her dog.

When the woman tried to free her pet, which had been picked up by the Alsation and carried away, the dog turned on her and bit her on the leg.

Police inquiries were continuing.

MILITARY FLARE FOUND IN DEVONSHIRE POL Military flare found in Devonshire Another military flare was found in a residential area of Devonshire yesterday.

Police were called to a home on South Shore Road, just east of Tee Street, after a resident discovered a large military signal flare.

The two-foot, five-inch long flare -- the average flare is 18 inches -- was found just before noon and was full of phosphorous which could have exploded, Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said.

The Emergency Ordnance Disposal Team took the live munition to its headquarters and disposed of it.

The flare was similar to one found during the holiday weekend by children on the beach at Bailey's Bay in Hamilton Parish.

On Monday Police issued a warning to the public that they should not try to handle or transport any suspicious items that they find.
