Couple robbed outside homeA couple were robbed outside their Smith’s parish home after two men on a motorcycle stopped and, following a struggle, made off with the woman’s handbag containing credit cards.
The 66-year-old Smith’s parish woman and her 71-year-old husband had just returned to their home in Gilbert Hill when they noticed two men on a motorcycle that appeared to be struggling to get up the slope ahead. The couple were, at the time, exiting their car.
“As they watched, the pillion passenger got off the motorcycle, which had stopped. The pillion passenger approached the husband who asked if the man needed any assistance,” said the Police in a statement.
A struggle ensued between the two men, until the Smith’s parish man was able to break free, but the suspect then went to the passenger side of the car and grabbed the wife’s handbag from her, before getting back on the cycle and making good his escape.
Inside the handbag were personal items and credit cards.
