The Bermuda national cricket squad, just back from Kenya after placing fourth in the ICC tournament, was also congratulated.

But on a sad note, Sen. Yvette Swan (UBP) asked that condolences be sent to the family of the Island's fifth road traffic fatality Mr. George Whitecross, and to his "work family'' at Giant Foods.

The Hon. Gerald Simons said all Bermudians could be proud of the success of events during the Queen's visit. He also asked that congratulations be sent to media coordinator Mrs. Valerie Pethen, and to Mrs. Joan Williams, Government House protocol officer, for "helping me avoid embarrassing myself''.

Sen. Simons, the Environment Minister, asked that a letter of congratulations also be sent to retired Planning Director Mr. Erwin Adderley, who had his last day at work on Friday. "In his 21 years in the department, he went from serving an essentially rural community to the sophisticated environment of today,'' Sen. Simons said.

Sen. Swan asked that congratulations be sent to the Bermuda Hospitals Board, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Sen. Alf Oughton (Ind.) also congratulated the Bermuda cricket team. And he asked that Dr. Roberta Dow be commended for her 12 years of service in the Agriculture Department.

Sen. Lawrence Scott (UBP) asked that condolences be sent to the family of well-known cab driver and bartender Mr. Leroy Simmons, who died recently.

Sen. Terry Lister (PLP) offered his congratulations to Mr. Richardson for "coming forward so graciously'' to help with the Royal visit.

And he asked that condolences be sent to the family of Mrs. Olga Simons, a former art teacher at Paget Primary.
