Town Crier to add voice to BIBA event

The Bermuda International Business Association (BIBA) will kick off its Annual International Business Week on Monday with the reading of a proclamation on the steps of City Hall.

Reading the proclamation will be Hamilton town crier Ed Christopher who will be joined by Hamilton Mayor Lawson Mapp and Chairman of BIBA Jeff Conyers. Kristin White, local awareness co-ordinator for BIBA said: "After having to cancel the week long series of events in 2001 due to the events of September 11, we are looking forward to rolling out the various new programmes designed to heighten the awareness of the International Business Industry in our community." Richard Calderon, CEO of BIBA said: "Representatives from BIBA and it's core member companies will join forces in exposing our primary and secondary school children to the many opportunities that await them in the Bermudian Business world.

"This year promises to be one of the best ever with educational site visits to a wide variety of businesses and presentations to school children of all ages, a scavenger hunt, the launch of the BIBA educational colouring book and many other events."
