Parish, BAA move ahead of St David’s in tight promotion race

Hamilton Parish 7Ireland Rangers 0Ian Coke scored four times as Hamilton Parish leapfrogged took over top spot in the First Division with this comfortable victory at Wellington Oval.With the wind in their faces in the first half, Parish scored five times with Coke finding the net in the seventh, 27th and 45th minutes while Donavan Thompson and Patrick Richardson also netted in the 18th and 26th minutes.Coke added another in the 67th minute as Parish continued to dominate in the second half before substitute Clevon Hill closed out the scoring in the 77th minute. Parish were able to play goalkeeper Nigel Burgess as a strike late in the game but his desperate attempt to find the net came to nought as he missed at least three good scoring chances.X-Roads 0 BAA 1BAA remained level on points with Parish when a lone strike by Shaki Swan at Garrison Field midway through the first half was enough to clinch victory over X-Roads in what is shaping up to be an exciting three-team promotion race. Parish and BAA are a point ahead of St. David’s and with two games remaining. IrelandYMSC 0 Dev.
