Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said the cannabis was found when 29-year-old Rosenbach was searched on arrival at the Civil Air Terminal last Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Peter Farge, defending, said Rosenbach suffered from an ailment needing a lot of pills. She claimed she needed cannabis to soothe nausea caused by the medication.

Mr. Farge also said Rosenbach would have disposed of the cannabis if she had seen a drugs warning sign at the Airport.

MAN TOOK CAR STICKER FROM DUMP CTS Motoring offences cost a Sandys man $500 in fines.

Howard Austin Hayward, 37, of Spring Benny Road, admitted driving an unlicensed car, fraudulently using a traffic document, and stealing a car licence certificate.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said that on May 28 this year the Police stopped Hayward in Sunnylea Lane, Southampton.

They checked TCD records and discovered the car's licence had expired on January 31 1991. But the sticker on the car had a May 1994 expiry date.

Hayward told Police he had taken the sticker off a car at the St. Georges dump.

PUNCH PUTS WOMAN OFF ROAD CTS A Southampton woman was fined $400 on Thursday and banned from all auxiliary cycles for a year after admitting riding while impaired.

Kathryn Michelle Kendrick, of Jennings Bay Road, was seen riding erratically on Palmetto Road in Devonshire.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said Police saw her swerving very close to a sidewalk. When they stopped her, they smelled alcohol on her breath.

Kendrick, 30, told the court she had been at a cocktail party where she had drunk a little wine and what she thought was fruit punch. But it turned out the punch had alcohol in it.

CANNABIS FOUND IN MAN'S POCKET CTS Twenty-seven-year-old Pembroke man Stephen A. Corday was fined $100 for possessing cannabis.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, told the court that on March 13 Police arrested Corday for another matter. "During a search at the Hamilton Police Station, Police found a yellow envelope with 0.17 grams of cannabis in his left pocket.'' When Police asked Corday if the cannabis was his, he told them it belonged to him and that he had bought it at Devonshire Recreation Club.

INSECTS CAUSED BIKE TO CRASH CTS A man who claimed black insects caused his accident was fined $300 for driving without due care.

Edward Allan Dill, 22, of Seagull Lane, Pembroke, admitted the offence.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, told the court that on April 5 Dill was riding on Blue Hole Hill in Hamilton Parish. "He took a left-handed corner and fell eight feet into the ocean.'' The bike was badly damaged, but Dill escaped with a few grazes to his right leg, right arm and his face.
