LOM shares surge 14.3%
Butterfield Bank shares were the biggest faller on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, tumbling $1.75, or 5 per cent, to $33 after 132 were traded.
On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were up 34 cents, or 1.02 per cent, at $33.57
Meanwhile, on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, LOM Financial Limited jumped 40 cents, or 14.3 per cent, to $3.20 after 40,000 shares changed hands. There was also a 14 cents, or 3.5 per cent improvement for Argus Group Holdings Ltd, which closed at $4.14 after 3,000 shares changed hands.
BF&M Ltd was up 49 cents, or 2.5 per cent, at $20.49 after 1,000 shares were traded.
There was also trading in 198,556 shares of One Communications, but with no change to the closing price of $3.95.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 76.63 points, or 3.55 per cent, to 2.156.71, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 37.98 points, or 2.33 per cent, at 1,589.04.
