At its October 16 meeting, the board gave planning approval for the Richmond Court units to be contained in two buildings.

However, the board stated that its consent was for planning permission only.

And it noted that prior to building, a separate application for a building permit had to be made and approved.

The board also stipulated that: Parking space for 19 cars be provided; To ensure against the discharge of run-off on to public or estate roads or any other property, provision be made to for the disposal of storm water within the site; and To protect the visual amenity of the neighbourhood a wall be faced with Bermuda stone or finished to give the appearance of Bermuda stone and the entire site be landscaped within three months of the issue of a certificate of Occupancy.

At the same meeting, the DAB also approved an application by Ann Williams to build stables, with tack and storage rooms, for two horses on Tribe Road Number Two in Devonshire.

The board ordered that the roof resemble a traditional Bermuda roof and said only two horses should be housed in the stable.

In other matters, the DAB deferred the Pembroke Marketing Company's revisions for a vehicle show and sales room.

The board deferred the application to allow technical officers to discuss the Board's concerns about the room's flat roof design with the firm.
